Public Speaking (2010) Movie Review, dear all gemscool lovers, i want to let you know about the latest movie (just a relax post). A full-length documentary starring Fran Lebowitz, a writer known for her unique outlook on modern life. The film weaves together archival footage with extemporaneous monologues and the effect is a portrait of Fran's worldview and experiences. This HBO documentary caught my attention because it was Martin Scorsese's name attached to it so that alone was reason enough for me to drive to order. In writer Fran Lebowitz is best known for her books, Metropolitan Life and Social Studies.She is also known for its rather dry wit and her sometimes outspoken views on race, life, and writers in general.

This latest documentary by Scorsese is not really a movie that tries to teach you anything. Lebowitz talk about people who think NYC was better before it became a tourist attraction. We hear her talking about the good that came from Obama is elected and the joke is that it was good simply because we do not have to keep wondering when the first black president would be elected. people who write books when they should not and of course she touches on a wide range of subjects. Lebowitz is displayed on a few public speaking events, and she is interviewed by Scorsese and another man at the table.
